Jane Betteridge is an artist and tutor who
lives in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, UK.
Her love of painting and drawing stems back as
early as she can remember but took a back seat whilst her children were
growing up.
Attending
watercolour classes from about 1996, reignited that interest. Jane went on
to gain an A Level qualification in art and eventually a City and Guilds
teaching certificate. Jane taught at Ivanhoe Community College for a number
of years.
Jane has
exhibited her work for a number of years and has paintings in France, United
States, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. She has held 5 solo
exhibitions in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and is now working towards her
6th, which is
scheduled for 4th, 5th,and 6th May 2013. At Ticknall Village Hall.
Jane appeared at the
2009 BBC Gardeners World Live. She had a wonderful time as the resident
artist in the gold award winning, Tena Active Life garden. Various scenes of
the garden were painted and given away as prizes at the end of the show.
Regular workshops
are held at Ticknall Village Hall in Derbyshire. She passes her
knowledge on in a very relaxed and happy atmosphere. Needless to say, these
days are very popular and are booked up very quickly. |
